Year 2 - Jewel of the Night by Sky

There once lived a great cypress tree,
in a little town, scattered with stars.
Absorbing energy from high and low,
every emotion, every heartbeat.

When at night, the sky closed its twilight veil,
the stars shone like giant fireflies,
golden floodlights forming ripples in the deep blue sky.

When the morning came,
the cypress tree would stretch out its blade-like arms;
smile up at the blazing ball of fire,
and down at the lively town beneath its roots,
bustling with energy and youth.

The tree would witness many changing seasons.
And when the town mourned,
the cypress tree would cry with them.
And when the town laughed,
the cypress tree would smile with them.

The town was ever-changing,
but the cypress tree would forever remain ever green.
