Year One: Lydon Colston - Lost in Agonising Moments

So poetry really isn't my forte but I thought I'd spare everyone from having to read one of my short stories and just try a poem for tomorrow's workshop. Enjoy.

Cheek bones sharp,
like the words from your tongue.
Captivating eyes,
Make me feel unbearably small.

I was funny,
Your laugh a grace to my ears.
You were witty,
My heart never stood a chance.

“I like you I do”
Your lies sound so bitter sweet.
“I don’t know what I want”
I can only bend so far until I break.

I was annoying,
My nerves a ticking time bomb.
You were fed up,
I’ll shoulder all the blame if it'll help.

Click, snap, break,
My confidence cracks easier than my bones.
Thump, thwack, quake,
The confusion pounds against my minds cage.

I’m still the same, I’ll move on.
I’ve felt the shame, but this is my song.
