This poem was inspired by our trip to the glass workshop. Hope everyone enjoys. :)

FRAGILE
Lovers sit on shifting shore
Come to watch the sea bird soar.
Moon’s breath cools the sand to glass
Another night has come to pass.
A frozen window is the sea
But forever not to be.
Dawn will melt the frigid night
Crack the water, melt the ice.
Shattered crystal and broken pane
Blowing of glass has been in vain.
White waves crash like nature’s band
All the glass reduced to sand.
Fragile skin of lover fair
Moon’s cool breath could not repair.
I hold her as we watch from land
Careful frailty of her hand.
Glowing mirror of her skin
My supple doll of porcelain.
Pale and soft our delicate bond
Lasts one night, never beyond.
In calm morning light we run out of time.
But at least we had this moment to shine.
At least we had this moment to shine.
